Upward promotes character and fun for every child by:

  • Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal and competitive teams
  • Establishing a one-hour practice and game each week
  • Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time
  • Creating the opportunity for every child to learn and improve their skills in the sport

Participating in Upward will give your child a chance to experience good sportsmanship on and off the field. Your child will also receive a special recognition award after every game and will have the opportunity to develop new friendships.

Registration Information:

The registration cost per child for flag football and cheerleading is $55. Deadline for registration is July 31st. Please make checks payable to DOCC.

Official Flag Football shorts and Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are optional and can be purchased at a cost of $12.

Evaluations and Orientations:

Everyone MUST attend one flag football evaluation or cheerleading orientation.

Evaluations will be held in the open field between the church and the Mt Laurel playground at Olmsted Park, weather permitting. Otherwise, we will have the evaluations in the church gym. The evaluations for each child should only take about 10 minutes.

K through 2nd Grade: Monday, August 9th or Thursday, August 12th between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

3rd through 5th Grade: Monday, August 9th or Thursday, August 12th between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM

League Schedule:

Practices begin the week of Monday, August 30th, 2010.

First Game is Sunday, September 19th, 2010
