World Projects
We are committed to reaching out to the world community, as well as our local community. That is why 10 percent of our budget is dedicated to local and international outreach works. Even though giving to such works is an important part of who we are, we are also committed to participating in local projects and in world outreach. That is why we commission mission teams from our own membership to go to different parts of the world to share the love of God.
Each summer, we offer our membership several options for getting involved in local and world outreach opportunities.

Past trips
Yakama, WA Mission trip
June 22nd - 28th, 2008
Our second trip to Yakama was a great success. Building on the relationships established last year, our team was a part of a great time of ministry. We were involved in two roofing projects and one house painting project during the day. In the afternoons, Vacation Bible School at the mission involved more and more kids in Bible Study every day. By day 4, over 80 children were involved in VBS!! The trip was, as always, a very tiring week, but the rewards in relationships and in seeing people experience an ah-ha moment with God is worth all the hard work. The team was able to do a little sightseeing in the Columbia river gorge our last day there, including a trip to Oregon to see Multnomah falls. God continues to deepen our relationships with the people of Yakama, and His kingdom's work in their midst.
Japan Mission trip
July 21st - 29th, 2007
This team worked with several other churches in partnership with World Link Ministries in reaching out to the people of Yokohama, Japan, through the use of ministry park festivals. World Link ministry campaigns stem from a three pronged strategy involving literature, media, and festivals. In the mornings, the teams spread out across a designated area and canvased mailboxes with evangelistic tracks and invitations to the festivals. In addition to the literature, WLM takes advantage of radio, television and newspaper interviews to leverage the message of the Gospel in that region. The festivals are the third part of the strategy. The teams participated in a Western festival complete with line dancing, country music and cowboy hats! It was amazing to see how this show could attract such a large crowd. In addition to the show there were booths set up all around the park including everything from face painting to bracelet making to digital picture making. The final and most important part of the festival was the Gospel presentation given at the end of the show.
Yakama, WA Mission trip
July 7th - 14th, 2007
This team worked with Rising Light ministry to minister to the Native American people of Washington state. We conducted VBS ministries, re-roofed houses, and rennovated interior spaces, as well as worship and praise ministry. The week was characterized by an amazing combination of ministry and opportunities to form lasting relationships with the native people on the reservation.
Belize 2006 Mission trip
In 2006, we had the privilege of sending a team to Belize, Central America. An explanation of their trip, along with a journal of one of the team members, can be found here.
