God’s Outreach Center provides compassionate care and practical assistance to the poor and needy.  Volunteers and staff meet with the needy to supply basic needs such as food, clothing, furniture and working appliances and also arrange for minor home repair projects in the South Shelby County area. Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the year.  This ministry is perfect for Community Groups and other small group volunteer efforts.

The Ministry Center of the Shelby Baptist Association in Columbiana is fellowship of churches that share a common desire to serve the residents of Shelby County.  There are several ministries housed within the Ministry Center designed to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of those less fortunate.  These programs include the Daily Bread Shop, Furniture Ministry, Widow’s Mite Shop, Christmas Gift Shop, Shoe Ministry, Work Release Program, School Supply Ministry, Motor Ministry, Medical Ministry, Disaster Relief Ministry, Counseling Ministry, and Earthly Treasures Thrift Store.  Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the year.

Worship at Way of Joy and Ecclesia International on Sunday morning and evening, and lead Bible classes in English at the Richard Wurmbrand Christian School (Grade School and High School) Monday through Friday mornings.  Each afternoon we will do ministry work with churches in Iasi and surrounding villages.

Travel the country with Doulos Partners meeting with national missionaries, praying for them, doing training sessions, leading worship, sharing testimonies, watching / sharing time with missionaries out in the bush sharing the gospel.  The price of the trip also includes a one-day safari.

Our sixth annual trip to the McKinley Indian Mission on the Yakama Indian Nation in Washington State is a great opportunity for the whole family to minister together.  This team will work with Two Feathers Ministries and will be involved in Vacation Bible School, men’s, women’s and youth bible studies, and light construction and renovation projects each day.

This team will work with Forgotten Children Ministries in the capital city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  FCM seeks to rescue abandoned and forgotten children who subsist on the streets of this impoverished country.  Activities include ministering to the children and teenagers at Noah Ark Shelter, Grace Girls Home and Grace Farm where children are educated and learn personal responsibility while growing spiritually.

This team will work with Doulos Partners as they minister in the western part of the island. VBS will be done in the mornings each day with visits each afternoon and evening to preaching/mission points. We will preach, share testimonies, lead worship, baptize, encourage the church planters, and see up close the work that Lord is doing inside the country.

This team will work with Doulos Partners training of the national leaders, visiting house churches where we will lead Bible studies, prayer times, give devotionals, share our testimonies, hear of the work that they are doing, encourage the workers, and see and experience life in India. Please Note: Difficult trip covering many miles with 3/4 nights travel on trains - need to pack light.

This team will work with Doulos Partners spending days at multiple mission points preaching, sharing testimonies, leading worship, baptizing, worship with the church, loving on and encouraging the workers and the congregations.  Participants will have a chance to see the beautiful scenery and be introduced to the way of life in Cuba.

This team will work with Forgotten Children Ministries in the capital city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras share the hope and joy of Christmas with hundreds of poor children and their families of this impoverished country. The team will distribute food, stuffed animals, candy and will also celebrate Christmas with Forgotten Children Ministries rescued boys, girls and Honduran staff members. 

Note:  Dates and costs of mission projects may be subject to revision. Costs of passports, visas (where required) and immunizations (as required) are not included in costs shown above. Deposits will be required. All volunteers must complete a DOCC Volunteer Application form and adhere to the rules therein. Some mission projects ?are subject to a minimum enrollment number in order to occur.
