Kid Connection is a place where kids can connect to God and to other Christian friends.

Preschoolers, Get Ready for An Adventure!  Beginning August 18th, 2010 and for the next 13 Wednesday nights, preschoolers will be introduced to 13 everyday choices that show our love for and obedience to God. Positive examples of Old and New Testament characters will challenge kids to:  believe in Jesus, be an example, be kind, pray, and more!

Each Wednesday night the kids will experience a creative presentation of the story, active games and creative art activities that will help them express what they are learning.  All Preschoolers who are 4 year olds through Kindergarten are invited to participate.  Wednesday night activities meet in the Preschool Hall.

Grade 1 - 5 Kid Connection

Kid Connection (Grades 1-5) “Connecting to God, Connecting to Each Other”
On Wednesday nights we will be teaching about Stewardship and Service.  In regard to Stewardship, we will be training children to be good managers of the resources God entrusts to them – money, relationships, ideas, skills, spiritual gifts, time and possessions.  In regard to Service, we will be training children to get in the habit of sharing their gifts and resources with others.  Building the habit of service at a young age results in developing lifelong practices of helping others.  Our goals on Wednesday night are to help children develop their gifts, and to learn to share them with others.  We will offer training opportunities and service opportunities through the fall semester.

There are four areas in which a child can choose to participate:  Kids Praise Team, Kids Drama Team, Kids Visual Arts Team, Kids Bible Drill.

Kids in praise team, drama team and visual arts team will be chosen by audition. Kids do not have to audition to be in Bible Drill.  Auditions will take place on Wednesday, September 1st.

There is also a Large Group time for all kids where we will learn God’s Word though music, dance, and story-telling.  All kids who are in Grades 1-5 are invited to participate.  Wednesday night activities take place on the 2nd floor of the Children’s Building beginning August 18th.
